2022 Holiday Brunch and Winter Coat Drive
Thanks to everyone who joined us at the holiday brunch on December 4th! We really enjoyed reconnecting with our community and sharing more details about the fundraising efforts. And if you haven't had a chance to donate to our Winter Coat drive, it's not too late! $20 will help a child in Syria stay warm with a coat, hat, and boots!

27th Annual Iftar (April 2022)
On behalf of the SAWA Board of Directors, THANK YOU to all of you who joined, supported, or contributed to the 27th Annual Iftar on April 9. We loved reconnecting with the community as we came together to support the eduction of Syrian youth impacted by the Syrian Refugee Crisis. During the event, we took a 'virtual' field trip to Aleppo to see how your donations from previous years have been positively impacting the Syrian Youth. This year, we are partnering with Bareeq Education with the goal to open a school inside Syria for children who do not have easy access to educational resources. Roula Alajeh, President of Bareeq, provided a heartwarming overview about how Bareeq started and their initiatives over the years. Special thanks to Minis & More Catering for supporting us and catering the event with delicious and authentic Syrian food. And, thanks to Muath Edriss for donating his time and delighting us with his beautiful melodies. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $31,300!
